Also describing my next update

I know, it’s been a month since I’ve updated my blog. It’s not for the lack of trying though. In the last month, we took a trip out to Colorado and Utah. I am very close to finishing that trip report, which sits over 6000 words. I’m hoping to have that up by tomorrow while Hurricane Joaquin makes us all shut ins for the weekend.

Meg looks good even under water, undecided about Mat though.

Secondly, Meg and I got open water scuba certified along with Kevin, Keith, and Mat. So future trip reports and planning will also include the theme of “travel to swim”. If you are interested in scuba and are living in the SW Virginia region, I’d recommend Tech Dive Center. No, I’m not getting paid for that, I just like them and it helps build the community here.

Lastly, I have had a couple of friends talk to me about blogging on travel hacking. But the more I think about it, the more I feel it’s not all that necessary since there are tons of blogs out there already dedicated to that topic. I rather have my blog talk about the other aspect of planning and traveling, which is what to do when you get somewhere, how do you plan for it, or even what’s out there for you to explore. What I will do it change my travel hack section into a link database of the best resources out there in the next couple of days. I will also keep a running log of the deals I do. That being said, each person has different goals for travel hacking and are coming from different situations. So the best way is still to figure out what’s best for yourself. All I can do is give suggests if you ask, but no promises because who would have thought grad school would actually take time and effort.
