Wind River Range, Sep 2020 - trip report preview. Didn't get much done on the report this week, think I needed a break. Did the opposite of this pictured day where we made our way up talus field while skirting around a rushing cascade.
Wind River Range, Sep 2020 - trip report preview. The colors always seems too unreal.
Wind River Range, Sep 2020.
Tinker Cliffs - Oct, 2020. My favorite spot for a sunset hike here in Virginia. Perfect for a happy hour. You can find our report of the hike via link in profile @travel2walk or at https://travel2walk.com/2021/02/06/virginia-hikes-tinker-cliffs-october-20-2020/
Rees Dart Track, January 2020 - After our second trip to New Zealand, the 5 day & 4 night hike following the Rees River to the Cascade Saddle and then back down the Dart River became my favorite tramp I've done on the island nation. You can find our top 5 tramps of New Zealand that we have hiked via the link in our profile @travel2walk or at https://travel2walk.com/2021/01/23/trip-report-australia-new-zealand-final-impressions-new-zealand-top-5-budget-january-2020/
Mueller Hut Route, January 2020 - While camping around Mueller Hut, we saw a flock of Kea also enjoying the view. Though I think these little cheeky bastards were here to wreck havoc as they like peck at anything rubber or plastic, such as tents. So keep an eye on yours unless you want a few more ventilation holes. You find out hike video via the link in our profile @travel2walk or at https://youtu.be/lrxRzG_4tjQ
Mueller Hut Route, January 2020 - Camping for me is typically a necessity for us to see cool things or to travel cheaply, but isn't something we do for its own sake. But I would recommend a night up on Sealy Range near Mueller Hut in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park rather than a day hike because of views like this. This from my first try at astrophotography. You can see our full report via the link in our profile @travel2walk or at https://travel2walk.com/2021/01/02/trip-report-new-zealand-mueller-hut-route-january-2020/
Rees-Dart Track, January 2020 - The most surprising and possibly favorite part of the hike was the many grassy meadow flats between the high snow covered peaks. From Dart Hut to Daleys Flat Hut, we had both our Sound of Music moment and Gladiator moment.
