There are a few mountaineering trip reports off the Dart River section of this hike that leads to a few peaks and glaciers. Would have loved to explore those in the future.
Once you get into the mountaineering, especially the winter mountaineering, then a new horizon of possibilities will be unfolded in front of you.

Thanks. Do you have any recommendations on how to get into it from a travel perspective? Our hills here in the Appalachian Mountains doesn’t allow for much opportunity.
